Todd Lyman, D.D.S.

Dr. Lyman joined the practice in 2011.  He is often referred to as “the singing dentist,” as he calms children with his silly songs.  Committed to helping others, Dr. Lyman participates in many community-based programs directed toward improving the oral health of those less fortunate. Some of these include the Esperanza Clinic and Headstart.  Dr. Lyman is also a merit badge counselor to the Boy Scouts of America, a volunteer with Welcome One Homeless Shelter, and very active in his church.  He is a cum laude graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry and received his Master’s degree and his Certification in Pediatric Dentistry from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.  Dr. Lyman has a passion for preventative dentistry.  His research has been published in the leading research journal for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.  Dr. Lyman is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. And he serves as the President of the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.  Dr. Lyman enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, running, coaching soccer, playing tennis, and playing basketball (and he’s probably the only one on the court with a bright green mouthguard!).

Chris Bailey, D.D.S.

Dr. Chris Bailey joined Growing Smiles in 2017 and is excited to return to the Baltimore area. He earned his DDS from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he received the graduating senior awards for exemplifying qualities of ethical standards, kindness, and humanitarianism as well as dedication, service, and empathy to the underserved child populations in Maryland.  Dr. Chris completed a General Practice Residency at Christiana Hospital in Delaware, treating patients of all ages with a variety of complex medical conditions. He then pursued his pediatric training at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, gaining experience with treating children in office, under sedation, in the operating room, and handling emergencies.  Dr. Chris’ passion for working with children with special needs makes all the difference in the dental experience for them with his humor, compassion, and patience.  Dr. Chris strives for excellence in providing up-to-date evidence-based dental care for children and having fun along the way!

Dr. Chris is a board-eligible pediatric dentist and can hardly believe he has found a profession he is more excited about than his dream to become a professional soccer player or musician.  He enjoys spending time with his wife Shelley, family, and friends.  On the weekends you can find him playing music, watching his favorite soccer teams (Arsenal and Barcelona), or out water skiing!
