Diana Capobianco, D.D.S.
Growing Smiles founder, Dr. Diana Capobianco, is a pediatric dentist with over 20 years of experience in dentistry for children. She earned both her dental degree and specialty certificate from the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry, where she served as a part-time clinical professor teaching pre-doctoral students and pediatric residents. She is a member in good standing with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Dental Association, among others, including the Harford-Cecil Dental Society, and the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, where she has served as President and continues to serve on the Executive Board. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Fellow of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and a member on the Council for Pediatric Dental Education. She serves as the liaison between the MAPD and the Maryland Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Diana has received countless awards and recognition from colleagues, charities, professional organizations and her peers, including year after year, the prestigious “Best Pediatric Dentist” award.
Dr. Diana has been inducted into the prestigious International College of Dentists, the world’s oldest honor society for dentists. She has also been honored as a Fellow in The Pierre Fauchard Academy in recognition of her many accomplishments. Dr. Diana volunteers many hours with Catholic Charities, Early Head Start programs and other charitable organizations as well as the Harford and Cecil County Health Departments.
Todd Lyman, D.D.S.
Dr. Lyman joined the practice in 2011. He is often referred to as “the singing dentist,” as he calms children with his silly songs. Committed to helping others, Dr. Lyman participates in many community-based programs directed toward improving the oral health of those less fortunate. Some of these include the Esperanza Clinic and Headstart. Dr. Lyman is also a merit badge counselor to the Boy Scouts of America, a volunteer with Welcome One Homeless Shelter, and very active in his church. He is a cum laude graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry and received his Master’s degree and his Certification in Pediatric Dentistry from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Lyman has a passion for preventative dentistry. His research has been published in the leading research journal for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Lyman is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member in good standing of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He serves as the President of the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Lyman enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, running, coaching soccer, playing tennis, and playing basketball (and he’s probably the only one on the court with a bright green mouthguard!).
Chris Bailey, D.D.S.
Dr. Chris Bailey joined Growing Smiles in 2017 and is excited to return to the Baltimore area. He earned his DDS from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he received the graduating senior awards for exemplifying qualities of ethical standards, kindness, and humanitarianism as well as dedication, service, and empathy to the underserved child populations in Maryland. Dr. Chris completed a General Practice Residency at Christiana Hospital in Delaware, treating patients of all ages with a variety of complex medical conditions. He then pursued his pediatric training at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, gaining experience with treating children in office, under sedation, in the operating room, and handling emergencies. Dr. Chris’ passion for working with children with special needs makes all the difference in the dental experience for them with his humor, compassion, and patience. Dr. Chris strives for excellence in providing up-to-date evidence-based dental care for children and having fun along the way!
Dr. Chris is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member in good standing of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He can hardly believe he has found a profession he is more excited about than his dream to become a professional soccer player or musician. He enjoys spending time with his wife Shelley, family, and friends. On the weekends you can find him playing music, watching his favorite soccer teams (Arsenal and Barcelona), or out water skiing!
Roxanne Clarke, D.D.S.
Dr. Roxanne is originally from the beautiful island of Jamaica. She earned her DDS degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2009 and practiced general dentistry for almost eight years, primarily seeing children. In 2018, she completed a fellowship training in Dental Care for the Developmentally Disabled at Stony Brook University in NY, where she excelled in treating patients with special healthcare needs and medical complexity. She then returned to her alma mater, the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, to complete her training in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Roxanne is passionate about serving the underserved and special needs populations. She is dedicated to supporting children in need and has volunteered her time to the cause, both locally and overseas. Some of her volunteer work include participating in Give Kids a Smile-ADA Foundation events in Maryland and New York, community-based projects for disadvantaged youth in Philadelphia, mission trip to Ecuador providing free dental care to hundreds of children, and educating children in local daycare centers and elementary schools on the importance of oral healthcare.
Dr. Roxanne has received recognition by Making a Difference in the Lives of Maryland’s Children. She is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Roxanne is also a member in good standing with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association and Baltimore County Dental Association.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, game nights with her husband and their two wonderful kids and relaxing to reggae music. She is the biggest Baltimore Ravens fan and cannot get enough of football season!
Marina Meshreky, DMD
Dr. Marina was born and raised in Italy and is originally from Egypt. She attended the University of South Carolina where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Kinesiology with Leadership Distinction. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). During her dental school training, Dr. Marina was repeatedly elected by her classmates to serve as their class Vice President all four years. Moreover, Dr. Marina was founder and president of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) MUSC Chapter.
Dr. Marina received numerous prestigious awards including the Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry Award, MUSC Excellence in Leadership Award, and MUSC Community Service Award, awarded to one student in the graduating senior class with the most community service hours. Upon graduation she was inducted into the elite Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society which is reserved for the top 10% academic average, service, and professionalism among dental graduates.
Dr. Marina completed her postgraduate specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at nationally ranked Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC, where she was elected to serve as the Chief Resident. She received extensive training in all areas of pediatric dentistry including craniofacial anomalies, trauma management, treating and counseling children with cleft lip and palate, as well as special needs and medically compromised patients.
Dr. Marina enjoys practicing her passion for pediatric dentistry through abroad dental work. She has traveled to many underserved countries including Kenya, Haiti, Jamaica, and Egypt to provide free dental treatment and healthcare education.
When she is not working, you can find her traveling with her husband, Basem, belting some karaoke sessions in the car to the newest Disney hits (most notably “Encanto”), and enjoying her time with family and friends.
Dr. Christina Bowman graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, and she was published in the Journal of Physical Chemistry. She then attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2014. She worked as a general dentist for two years after graduating, and she served on the New Dentist Committee for the Virginia Dental Association. During her time as a general dentist, she realized her love for working with children and decided to further her education to specialize in pediatrics. She completed her residency program at Temple University Hospital Pediatric Dental Associates in 2018. She received extensive training in all areas of pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Bowman believes that an openness to learn is a commitment all health professionals must make to serve our patients. She is committed to providing the highest quality of care for all children. Dr. Bowman has a passion for preventive dentistry and educating children and their parents on the importance of oral health and development. She truly enjoys working with children of all ages and has a warm and comforting demeanor. When a child leaves with a smile on their face, she has made a positive impact and she receives the greatest reward of her job.
In her spare time, Dr. Bowman loves to spend time with her husband and two boys. Becoming a mom is one of her greatest accomplishments. She is committed to treating every child as if they were her own. She believes in living an active lifestyle, loves to cook, and enjoys being outdoors.
